The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

This may be one of the best matches of the year. Cary wins they are the Tri-9 champion. If they lose, three way champions along with Panther Creek and Holly Springs.

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

This one could go either way. I've played coach with both line ups, bumped gus here and there and I came up with all kinds of out comes. I give Cary a slight "favorites" role and I mean slight. Panther Creek has a couple of weak spots and some locks,. Cary has a couple of locks and some matches could be intersting. It could come down to getting the 6 pointer where you should and one of the teams having a guy that just refuses to get pinned I call it Cary 32-31 in what should be a GREAT high school match!

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

I will be rooting for PC as I feel that all three of these teams deserve to share the title this year.

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

I feel confident it will not be a straight up match as I am confident there will be at least one bump, but I'd love to see it wrestled straight up. My guess Cary will bump126 or 132. They have a very capable back up. PC has some versatility up top. Should be a good one.

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

Cary 34-28. It was a close one

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

Big night of wrestling. Millbrook beats Leesville by 4 Millbrook must dull beat another tough conference foe to win the conference out right.

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

Correction 34-26. Still a close one that came down to the last match.

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

Anyone have the line ups of the Cary- PC match. Both teams seldom post scores in a timely fashion. PC hasn't posted their results in a while. I surprised NCHSAA hasn't popped them with a fine for not posting with in the guidelines. Several teams guilty of this. Greenhope hasn't posted the Christmas season tournament Tiger classic yet. Oversight? Failure to make time? Competitive advantage? Whatever the reason, its not getting done within the time frame as required by the state.

Yes, it matters. Especially with weightclass shifts, who is in the line up and who is not. Accuracy for tournament seeding, planning by teams. When most comply and afew do not it creates an advantage for the team not in compliance.

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

I am guessing you are interested in where the shifts happened? Ynoquio went up to 138 for Cary and Stober went up to 145 for PC. Any other match you want to know about? You can watch the whole match on Ihigh.

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

I believe Cary's twitter feed had most of the matches posted as they happeend. Might be able to backtrack that and get the lineups.

RE: The Big One This Thursday - Panther Creek vs. Cary

Thanks for the info, but I know who was wrestling where. I mention this for the previously stated reasons. It does create advantages/disadvantages for teams/coaches not as familar with the teams. ON NWCA website a team looking at PC's lineup may think Powell is at 195 when in fact back on 1/12 he wrestled at 182. Greenhope has Callahan as undefeated, but he finished 5th in the Christmas Holiday tournament "Tiger Classic". It it is not a super big deal, but it does help when deciding where to put guys in a line up for duals and tourneys. There are other examples of this by several teams. Its not unique to the examples given. Hopefully this is not gamesmanship, but rather simple oversights.
