Wakefield High School wide receiver Jordan Fieulleteau was named a MaxPreps First Team All-American on Wednesday.
Fieulleteau, a North Carolina recruit, caught 111 passes for 1,600 yards and 24 touchdowns last season for the Wolverines, helping the team to an 11-2 overall record and an appearance in the second round of the state playoffs.
Fieulleteau joins Davidson Day quarterback Will Grier as the only two North Carolina offensive players to make the first team.
Grier, a Florida recruit, threw for 4,546 yards and 49 touchdowns last season, ending with a career total of 12,953 yards and 146 touchdowns.
Another UNC recruit, Northern Guilford running back T.J. Logan, was named to the second team. Logan posted 3,146 yards and 47 touchdowns last season, helping the Nighthawks to a state championship. In the state championship game, Logan recorded a state record 510 yards and eight touchdowns.
Linebacker Peter Kalambayi of Butler High School was named to the defensive first team. Kalambayi will play college football at Stanford.
Kinston defensive lineman Brian Manuel was named a MaxPreps Second Team Freshman All-American as well.
