Wake Forest takes over top spot in HighSchoolOT polls

Wake Forest assumes the top spot in both the OT Top 15 and Triangle Top 12 Polls this week after defeating Panther Creek in week one of the season.

The Cougars, who were ranked No. 4 in the region and No. 3 in the Triangle in the preseason version of the polls, received two first place votes in each poll, both times edging Southern Durham for the top spot.

Southern Durham received two first place votes in each poll as well but came in second in each poll.

Scotland County, Millbrook and Middle Creek round out the top five in the OT Top 15 Poll. Newcomers to the regional poll include Pinecrest (11), E.E. Smith (12), and Cleveland (T14).

Millbrook, Middle Creek, and Wakefield round out the top five of the Triangle Top 12 Poll.
