Two Leesville Road basketball players sign with Guilford

Two Leesville Road basketball players have signed letters of intent with Guilford College.

According to Leesville Road basketball coach Russ Frazier, guards Brandon Staves and Sanders Rohs will continue their basketball careers in college in Greensboro.

"Both Brandon and Sanders are great student-athletes. I am proud of their efforts while at Leesville," Frazier said. "I look forward to following their success at Guilford."

Staves averaged 13.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game last season, earning all-conference honors in the Cap 8 4-A Conference. He was also named to the all-region team by the N.C. Basketball Coaches Association.

Rohs averaged 10.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game as a senior. He earned honorable mention all-conference honors.

The Pride posted a 14-12 record last season, finishing 9-5 in the Cap 8. Leesville Road advanced to the second round of the state playoffs where it lost to Seventy-First, 65-55.
