Southern Durham runs away from East Chapel Hill, 47-10

— Southern Durham entered Friday night having never lost to East Chapel Hill and left with that same record in tact with a 47-10 win.

Southern Durham got on the board first with a 26-yard Oscar Diaz field goal but were promptly evened on a 41-yard field goal by East Chapel Hill's Kieran Sweeny.

Later in the first quarter, though Southern Durham began establishing themselves. First, it's defensively as Antonio Davis intercepted a Ben Jones pass at the two yard line. On the ensuing drive, Owen Lucas III scored to make things 10-3.

From that point on, it was 27-7 in favor of Southern Durham in a 47-10 rout.

Southern Durham (5-4, 4-1 PAC 6) hosts Northern Durham next week. East Chapel Hill (4-4, 2-2PAC 6) travels to Hillside.
