Soccer all-stars arrive in Greensboro, one roster change reported

— Some of the top soccer players in North Carolina are now in Greensboro for the N.C. Coaches Association East-West All-Star Games.

Boys and girls soccer players will report to Greensboro at 12:30 p.m. The girls team will practice at 1:15 p.m. at Ben L. Smith High School, then the boys team will practice at 3 p.m. at the high school.

Practices will also be held on Monday and Tuesday.

The girls all-star game will be played at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Macpherson Stadium in the Bryan Soccer Complex. The boys all-star game will follow at approximately 8:30 p.m.

There has already been one roster change to the East boys soccer roster. Michael James of Laney has dropped out of the game due to illness. No replacement has been named yet.

Amy Green, the girls soccer coach at Durham School of the Arts, will serve as the head coach of the East girls soccer team.

Richmond boys soccer coach Bennie Howard is the head coach of the East boys soccer team.
