Scotland's Zamir White picks Georgia

— Scotland County High School running back Zamir White will continue his football career at the University of Georgia.

White, a five-star player according to 247Sports.com, made his commitment during a press conference at his high school.

247Sports.com ranks White as the No. 1 player from North Carolina in the Class of 2018. The recruiting website also ranked him as the No. 6 overall player nationally and the top running back.

White stands at 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds.

At the time of his commitment, White had dozens of offers. But according to 247Sports.com, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio State were the leaders.

White rushed for 1,700 yards and 26 touchdowns last season for the Fighting Scots, leading the team to a 14-1 overall record and a trip to the fourth round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4-A state playoffs.
