AND, at a D1 school, you may be more likely to lose playing time if and when the next big thing comes in. It's all about winning, even more so at D1, so the coaches will play who they believe gives them the best chance, without regard to loyalty, etc. Just the way it is, especially at bigger schools. Unless a kid truly is THE stud, you can relate this decision to the big fish/small pond or little fish/big pond scenario. A lot of NFL'ers come out of DII so it's certainly not necessarily game over if they do go DII. .

Division I is the natural choice reaction. Kids have to keep in mind that if they aren't a DI school's first or close second choice they probably won't play much. DII is a great option for kids that don't care about the name on the front of their Jersey that just want to play and have a great college experience.

Di would be the 1st choice if a legitimate chance of that kid playing and the scholarship funding was there. DII would be a gr8 choice if the kid is needed more and the kid can see his self with a fun college expierience.{of course funding also. Sometimes D11 schools wont recruit behind a kid as quick as a D1. Most kids wanna play as soon as possible. Kids and parents have to be honest about their talent level.

If a player is being recruited by DI and DII, is DI the natural choice? Or not?
