Middle Creek takes out Millbrook, 34-22

Middle Creek took out visiting Millbrook, 34-22 Friday night. Jordan Mitchell started the scoring for the Mustangs hauling in a pass from Andrew Ihle to make it 6-0 with the missed PAT. Millbrook responded minutes later as Chris Twitty punched it in from inside the five yard line to give the Wildcats the 8-6 lead following the successful two-point conversion. Middle Creek struck back just before the first quarter ended as De'Andre Jones scored on a fourth and goal from three yards out giving the Mustangs the 14-8 lead after the two-point conversion. Late in the second, Millbrook would retake the lead as Twitty punched it in from nine yards out to make it 15-14. Middle Creek wasted zero time in answering as Jordan Mitchell pulled in his second touchdown of the day as the Mustangs took a 21-15 lead into the half.
Millbrook retook the lead midway through the third as Twitty's third score on fourth and goal gave the Wildcats the 22-21 edge. De'Andre Jones added his second score of the game four minutes later and Middle Creek regained the lead for good in this back-and-forth affair, 27-22. Ihle found Rasheed Martin midway through the fourth for a 26 yard score to put the game out of reach at 34-22. Middle Creek (2-2, South Wake Athletic 0-0) hosts Panther Creek next Friday night at 7:00 pm. Millbrook (1-3, CAP 7 0-0) hosts Apex next Friday night at 7:00 pm.
