Orange wrestling coach hits milestone

Posted February 5, 2013

One of the state’s top high school wrestling coaches reached a tremendous milestone recently.

Bobby Shriner, the head wrestling coach at Orange, a perennial North Carolina High School Athletic Association title contender, recently earned his 500th career dual team victory.

The Panthers have been a powerhouse in both dual team wrestling competition as well as in tournament wrestling, known as the individual competition. Orange has won the last two NCHSAA 3-A dual team championships and won the tournament title last year to go with 1A/2A crowns in 2008 and ’09.
