Notre Dame offers Lee County junior RB Jahmir Smith

— Lee County junior running back Jahmir Smith received scholarship offers Tuesday morning from Notre Dame and Dartmouth, he announced via Twitter.

The standout junior now holds offers 23 offers: Appalachian State, Brown, California, Dartmouth, Duke, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Mississippi, NC State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio University, Old Dominion, Princeton, Purdue, Rutgers, Tennessee, UAB, UNC-Charlotte, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wisconsin.

Smith led the Yellow Jackets with 2,130 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns last season. He also averaged 6.7 yards per carry and posted 100-yard rushing games 11 times in his junior campaign.

He was used sparingly in the passing game, tallying seven catches for 117 receiving yards and one touchdown but led the team with an average of 172.8 all-purpose yards.
