What was the GlaxoSmithKline Holiday Invitational for years got a new name last year – the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational – and this year there will be a new logo.
The Holiday Invitational released the new logo on Thursday, which features a silhouette of a basketball player instead of the basketball character that has been used in the past.
Each year, the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational brings some of the nation's top recruits and ACC prospects to Raleigh for a multi-day high school basketball tournament. The teams are matched up with local teams from the Triangle and teams from other parts of the state.
Traditionally, MaxPreps.com ranks the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational as one of the top high school basketball tournaments in the country.
The tournament features boy and girls fields, with games played at Cary Academy and Broughton High School.
The 2012 HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational will be played on Dec. 26-29.
