New Hampton, N.H., jumped out to an 18-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 38-17 lead at halftime and rolled to a 69-50 rout of Wilson Greenfield in the quarterfinals of the Shavlik Randolph bracket of the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational.
The Huskies (8-1) advance to Friday's semifinal against High Point Christian, who defeated Charlottesville, Va., Miller School earlier Thursday.
New Hampton was led by 14 points from Mike LeBlanc and 13 points and 9 rebounds from Indiana recruit Noah Vonleh. Huskies point guard Travis Jorgenson finished with 10 points and 7 assists.
"We were coming off a two-week break, so I think we were able to work some rust off," said New Hampton coach Pete Hutchins. "We did a fairly good job doing the things we practice."
Greenfield (11-3) was led by 11 points and two assists from Xavier Mills and 10 points from Jamie Johnson.
"We came out tonight and stunk it up in the first half," said Knights coach Rob Salter. "We shot 10 percent from the 3-point line in the first half and we just didn't play very well."
