NCHSAA releases finalized playoff brackets

The N.C. High School Athletic Association released the finalized state playoff brackets for football on Saturday afternoon.

After a round of corrections to the preliminary brackets, the final brackets were released at 4 p.m. The NCHSAA sent out another update around 6:30 p.m.

The first round of the NCHSAA state playoffs will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, followed by the second and third rounds on Nov. 9, and Nov. 16.

Regional final games will be played on Nov. 23. Games in the first four rounds will be played at the highest seed.

State championships will be played at N.C. State, North Carolina and Wake Forest.

If the preliminary brackets are not final why release them to begin with? This seems real dumb.
