NC State, UNC on Hillside receiver's list

Posted June 28, 2013

Hillside High School wide receiver Trevion Thompson will consider some in-state colleges when he makes his decision this fall.

Thompson, a 6-foot-2 and 180-pound rising senior, narrowed his list to six schools on Friday, according to Hillside football Antonio King.

Among his final six are N.C. State and North Carolina. Joining the two in-state programs on the list are Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State and West Virginia.

King said Thompson does not have any particular order.

Last season, Thompson earned all-conference honors, posting 700 receiving yards and scoring seven times for the Hornets.

Hillside put together an 8-3 season in 2012, including an undefeated mark in the PAC 6 4-A Conference. The Hornets lost to Southeast Guilford in the first round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4-A state playoffs.

Thompson also plays basketball at Hillside.
