— Southeast Raleigh wide receiver Tyler Williams received a scholarship offer Saturday afternoon from NC State, his first opportunity from an Atlantic Coast Conference football program.

The standout Bulldog also holds offers from Appalachian State, UNC-Charlotte, Colorado State, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Limestone, NC Central and Old Dominion.

Williams led Southeast Raleigh last season with 25 receptions for 480 yards and six touchdowns. He posted a season-high seven catches for 100 yards and three touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 24-0 victory on Sept. 30 against Knightdale.

The multi-skilled Williams also stood out on the Bulldogs’ punt return unit, tallying 210 total return yards and two scores. Williams averaged 21 yards per return in 2016.

Williams led Southeast Raleigh last season with 778 all-purpose yards, posting an average of 78 yards per contest.
