Raleigh, N.C. — Millbrook's girls basketball team avenged last week's loss to Heritage with a 54-51 win on Thursday night.
Last week, Heritage defeated Millbrook in the John Wall Family Foundation Holiday Invitational championship game. Thursday night's game, which was moved up one day due to the threat of snow, was the first conference meeting between the two teams.
Millbrook took an early 12-11 lead in the first quarter, but the Wildcats lost that lead in the second quarter. Heritage led 20-18 at halftime.
But things changed in the second half.
Millbrook led by as many as nine points in the second half. The Wildcats outscored Heritage 19-10 in the third quarter, claiming a 37-30 lead going into the final eight minutes.

Heritage was led by C Johnson's 17 points. A Purnell and D Washington both scored 13 points for the Huskies.
