RE: pac 6 Basketball
This is some information that I found. http://www.ncprepsports.net/bbaskLeaders12.htm I am sure the Rockets can pull this out. They are a very talented team. This experience will follow these kids forever.
RE: pac 6 Basketball
This year is an example of why people shouldn't try to predict high school basketball. On the first page, almost every person with a prediction had Person last or next to last. Person won the regular season and barely lost to Hillside in the conference tournament championship which was played on Hillside's home court. Person was the best team in the Pac-6 this year. The only one left in the state tournament now. And, Tyrone Outlaw will be back next year.
RE: pac 6 Basketball
kennywalters...the first page came from last year, meaning 2010-2011 season...not this new season, 2011-2012. Someone bumped this thread from page 5 which people have been responding to.
RE: pac 6 Basketball
@CoachK2
I got away from this thread for awhile. In your post 12/17, you were 100% right about Ricky Council, Jr. Heck of a player and I have to wonder why he would've started the season on JV. Maybe see some good battles between Person and Northern next season featuring Outlaw and Council.
RE: pac 6 Basketball
I didn't see a date stamp though you may be correct sweetnsour13.
RE: pac 6 Basketball
Who was the last dominant big man from the Pac 6 conference?
RE: pac 6 Basketball
kennywalters-Ricky Council played varsity all this season, he played JV last season.
Thread is confusing b/c it has some info from last year and info on what is happening/happened this year. From what I can tell, about page five forward is referring to the 2011-2012 season.
RE: pac 6 Basketball
@Roscoebass30 I find that website interesting. I like seeing infor like that. It matches my predictions too. But this is just my thoughts.
@Kennywalters pag 5 is 2011-2012. But the statement you made about Tyone Outlaw only shows what you meant and what this meant from 2010-2012 with his return. Eventhough, the threads was bumped it shows what the return means through 2013.
Outlaw and Council is both good, however, Outlaw is a natural and well rounded, very strong Kinetic cognition.
My concern about the game against Pine Forest, also is that having our Rockets show very good attitude toward the Refs even if the call is not right. Greet them with direct eye contact politely or shake hands if the opportunity presents itself. I know we can/will win if we just PLAY.
RE: pac 6 Basketball
The game last night went as well as it could with what PSH had to work with. did well but #3 baller, #20 Bradley/Outlaw who did his job shut him down., #12 Willams/changed positions alot this could be why he showed an inconsistant stat, he had a bad attitude so pressure is his issue he was handled by our boys, #2 McEachern was shut down well.
Rocketsportsnetwork had expresses earlier in a forum that the Rockets could win if jealous and other things did not come into the equation. I did not know what the network was referring too. I noticed that Winstead did not pass the ball to Outlaw who was open on a couple or occassions then I heard about a previous incident where he had booed Outlaw(Jealous). He is cancer!! Self distructing to the team and himself. I do not think no 20 should have had the playing time that he did. He gave up on plays, lost the ball, and wasn't hussling(Self). He wants to shine but don't know how. Sorry if I offends anyone.
Now, am about to address an issue that most don't like to hear. I think NCHSAA should have a consistancy when it comes to calls that the refs make. From conference to playoffs we need younger energetic refs. They need to make sure that these refs are following the general rules and understand what they are reading there is a powerpoint over 85 pgs on NCHSAA website and refs are not reading. I think someone from the organization should be present at games to see what is actually occuring. I called the commissioner Mr Whitfield 919-240-7365, Mr Strunk . Commissioner 919-240-7367, 919-240-7376, 919-220-7365, 919-220-7362 and down the line expressing this fact. Everyone is out of the office attending Wrestling State Championships (WOW) I bet wrestling is called correctly. I was told that nothing will be done without numbers. I expressed the refs calls, neutral gyms, selling tickets before the game to one school and not the other.
Overall the Rockets had a good year!! Good Coaching!!
RE: pac 6 Basketball
First and foremost my comment about jealousy and cancers were not refering to any one player or teammate. I just know that the six inches between a high school athlete's head is a long way to travel. It is even for adults. I have never and would never comment on a particular play, player, and or coach. The game of basketball is a team sport...Win as a TEAM...Lose as a TEAM.
With all that being said... I am a Rocket!!! I follow them to the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. The Rockets had a GREAT season.
There are 99 teams in the 4A division in the state of NC, the Rockets were one of the best 16 teams in the state. At midnight last night as the Rockets crossed the county line they were greeted by the Sheriff's Dept., the Police Dept., and about 40 fans vehicles to escort them back to the Gym in parade style. AWESOME. Things like that happen ONLY in small town USA and I for one am thankful to live in a place like Roxboro.
Great Season guys...Great Season coaches...Great Season fans. GO ROCKETS
