cant help but ask the question what is going on with garner. two games with 7th in the conference sss. both games within 7. is garner as good as advertised?

Well, what's going on is they are 15-2 overall and undefeated in conference play in a season where it looked like a rebuilding year. As you allude to with SSS though, they have struggled at times and tend to play to the level of competition, as many young teams do. I think they have some obvious weaknesses - size and rebounding being the most prominent - but have overachieved by playing hard and fast every night. Not as talented maybe as their last two teams, and Clayton may still be the favorite in the GNRC, but definitely one of the top teams in the area once again. Most HS teams would kill for a season like they are having, never mind one in a rebuilding year. Wednesday night against Clayton will probably give us a better answer to your question...

Not as good as the previous years but a very good basketball team nonetheless!

Didn't see the SSS games, but if Garner does not turn you over and get quick points off those turnovers they are not going to blow you out. The Spartans must have handled their pressure defense well, or the Trojans may have lacked some defensive intensity. I was impressed with Garner when I saw them.
