Cap-8 POY?
I can't believe I am sitting here in mid February not having Broughton's Devonte Graham as a lock for the Cap-8 POY. Much like the conference standings, it is wide open.
At Sanderson you have Fennema who put up 33 vs. WFR last week, that guard Ascuye at WFR, Reggie Jones at Leesville, Logan Evans is still a force at Wakefield, and Carlee Clemons from Millbrook who in my opinion is the most exciting player in the league being under 6'0 with incredible hops. Thoughts?

I have seen Jones, Evans and Ascuye play but I have not yet seen Broughton as they have not played at Heritage yet.
I don't think I would have Ascuye in the mix at that level.
Evans is definitely a force for Wakefield and has a good all around game but for my money, Jones is the best player I have seen in the Cap8 so far. He took control of the game vs Heritage in the fourth quarter after LRHS had been down at the end of the first three quarters and ended up with 12 in the final stanza if I remember correctly. He did just as much on the defensive end in that game with solid weak side help. That is a difference maker for me.
I will reserve judgement until I see Fennema and Graham in the next couple of weeks, but that is the bar that has been set in my mind.
