Tri-Nine Boys Basketball Predictions
I thought Green Hope was going to runaway with the Tri-Nine Championship this year but since they lost to Middle Creek tonight and Apex earlier in the season it now looks wide open. Any thoughts?

Having seen most of the teams so far, it appears ther are 5 teams with a realistic shot at the Tri-9. Green Hope is good (as advertised), but Panther Creek, Holly Springs, Apex, and Lee County are all off to good starts. Apex has the best player in the league, is well-coached, and the team I would list as my favorite to win at this point. Lee County has been somewhat of a surprise, and has won 4 straight since losing the Tri-9 opener at Apex. Two of those wins came at Panther Creek and at Middle Creek. I look for the top 5 to finish: 1 - Apex, 2 - Green Hope, 3 - Lee County, 4 - Holly Springs, 5 - Panther Creek

I think the season will end with teams finishing in this order: Apex, Lee,Middle Creek,Green Hope,panther Creek,holly springs,Athens,Cary and Fuquay last!

I tend to agree with the two previous posts in part regarding the likely conference rakings based on the early season results. However, in what the final order/rankings at the top will be is really undecided in conference play with initial key match ups yet to occur and then the 2nd meetings in conference.
What we do know is that teams have not been consistent in their play; coaches don’t coach or manage game situations or players well.
In the end the likely conference winner and final rakings will be decided by the best coached team, the team that buys into their team roles and plays together without divisiveness created by individual egos or coaching arrogance and player bias.
Who can get the most out of what they have regardless to who may have the reported best individual player's.
It’s a team sport so let’s play on!

Round 1 is in the books and it seems that Apex, Green Hope, Lee, Middle Creek are still positioning to see who can capture the Tri-Nine.
Will Holly Springs and Panther Creek get back in the hunt?

After tonight I am changing my earlier prediction from December 21 to be MC, Lee, Green Hope, Apex,Holly Springs, Panther Creek, Athens, Cary and Fuquay. Quinton Ray appears to be back for MC and this team will go as far as he is able to take them. MC is a young team with Senior Quinton Ray the leader.

Lee County is not that good. They played way over there heads against MC, as I believe they beat them earlier in the year. I may be wrong there. Unless I missed something the night I saw them get waxed by 40, they don't have a shot. MC, Apex, and Green Hope will be the top three. Holly Springs seems to be very inconsistent but with that one guy they have you never know. Should be a great second half of conference play for the Tri-Nine. Panther Creek will be very tough the rest of the way and will be hard to beat next season as their entire lineup is very young, quick, and athletic.
