Just wanted to psss the word that Vernessa Hinnant and Latisha Williams both just sign to Miami Dade College in Miami Fla, full scholarship.

Hinnant girl has the athleticism to play in the acc. why did she not go higher? seems like a low level for her.

triangglehoopfan, this is Vernessa mom who put up this post,and I would like to explain to you that Miami Dade is the biggest JC in the nation. Belle has many offers and you can google her name and see her scouting report from ESPN rise,but she has to get her Sat score up about 50 more points,I don't want her to make a big decision at the last minute, so Coach Summons will have her for at least one year, and then Bell can have longer to decide if she want to play in the ACC , Sec, or USA conference. She will take the Sat over the Summer, and the Act this month which she needs to improve only 2 pts,then she can decide. Markisha Gatlin went to a JC in Fla,and she will be transferring to N.C. State this year,but I also wanted these young athletes to understand that they need to apply early in the classroom from day 1 don't wait until their junior year.

trianglehoopfan....ACC level? I have seen her play about a dozen times and don't think she is ACC level....perhaps athletic enough but skill wise not even close..with all due repsect..the Gatlin girl is actually ACC level and has size and agility and will help the pack right away
at any point..good luck to these girls as they pursue their dreams...

triangehoopfan...I think what ntheweeds is saying (correct me if I am wrong)...is having athletic ability can only get you so far. Bottom line is you have to have the skill level...dribbling, shooting and more importantly intangibles to succeed at the high levels. Best of luck to both of these girls at Miami Dade

To these so call scouters who get up here and say what's on your mind, what level did ya, play, and if so why are ya not coaching in the Acc,oh I know why, because ya are just waiting to find something negative to say about Any ball player. I believe only the Acc coaches opinion matters, so if you don't have anything positive to say because know one no whose behind the made up names just be nice and watch what you say unless you have proof behind what you say, instead of masking these prejudice remarks. I am sure your child will do well at Miami Dade and hopefully from there have a chance to play afterward and get a good education. Best of luck to her and the other girl you referenced.
