New Hanover High School-My last post

ESPN High School has New Hanover ranked 18th in the country and number one in the state. I will say the headline is wrong about New Hanover upsetting West Charlotte. Teams in the east arent heavily recruited like Raleigh to Charlotte so therefore we arent discovered until we make it to regionals. Look at the kid Thomas from our squad. Didnt have any colleges recruiting him and he comes up as MVP of Regionals. Now he has D1 schools recruiting him. There is great talent over this way but unfortunately recruiters dont want to take that trip to the east. I believe now after this past saturday that has change. Hoke will be the team next year that wins it for the east. Congratulations Wildcats.

New Hanover had 7 seniors, 5 were in heavy rotation this year with one getting hurt. Holley will be returning but they will have a hard time defending the title.

I think New Hanover will be a tough team again this year. They are returning (2) starters in Nigel Holley and Trevon Brown. They will have a kid named Logan Chaucer that was a role player who has gotten alot better and they have several kids from the JV team that will make some noise.
