Bump the money goes to the conference not the team. I believe it increases chances for injuries as you have a team who has no shot of making the state playoffs taking on team who already has secured a spot. Secondly I believe it rewards only teams who have not performed well enough during regular season. Thridly any and I mean any team is capable of getting hot for three games.
The PAC6 tourney held at Hillside didn't help their local school budget as the gate money went to the conference. The PAC6 tourney doesnt reward the out right conference champs. It actually wears players out before state playoffs begin. I believe if we keep the conf. tourneys then there should never be a chance that two teams of the same conf. Would play in the first or second rounds of the state playoffs.
As basketball fans how would it be if during the NCAA tourney UNC played Fla. State first round and Duke in the second? Sounds crazy? Almost happened this year in our HS State Playoffs. The Rockets played ND 1st rnd. and until last minute realignments would have had to play Hillside tonight. Now that's crazy.

Good points. I just like having all the ops to see good players perform. When I played sports I loved the game regardless of anything else like a good racing horse. LoL. I feel these players feel the same. The higher they move up the more pressure there is. But if they go places, college or pro they will feel it anyway.
You are right. The Money goes to the conference and a couple of other places as it's prioritized. Any thing that deals with conference, registration, and traveling for the team.

I think the NCHSAA should be using our money collected at the conference and state playoffs effectively and concidering Parent, Schools, and Atheletes best interest fairly. I do not feel that travelers to these games should be turned away at the door because tickets are sold before game to one school and not the other. I feel that if my money is used to pay for referees to ref games then it should be fair and they should be updated with changes as printed in PPt on the NCHSAA website. I think their jobs should be monitored for effectiveness, alighnments with compliances, and fair. The game last night was 70 to 75. But, the last 2 pts made by Outlaw on the buzzer was not posted. Walks were called that wasn't walks, doubles were called that were not doubles, and techs were over looked. Williams with Pine forest hit PSH player and nothing called. Everyone with NCHSAA was at the Wrestling Championship playoffs why wasn't anyone at these basketball playoffs. I bet everything was called fairly at the Wrestling Championships.

I expressed all of this because I want our athelete to have a positive experience with their youth involvement in sports and it starts with NCHSAA and they need to cater in fairness to the public who invest in their job responsibilities they enable them to get a check that is bigger than mine.
