— A big fourth inning helped Leesville Road pull away from D.H. Conley in baseball on Friday. The Pride took the non-conference win, 6-0.

After two scoreless innings to open the game, Landon Choboy scored the first run of the game on a Jack Kaelin single, giving Leesville Road a 1-0 lead.

The Pride nearly scored a second run in the inning, but Ian Cummings was called out at home.

Leesville Road's 1-0 lead held through the fourth inning, and that's when the Pride added on.

With no outs, Tyler Bowen scored on a wild pitch by Robbie O'Neal to push Leesville Road's lead to 2-0. Then with one out in the inning, Baldwin Bell hit a double to left field, brining Shawn Sergeant home. The Pride led 3-0.

Leesville Road was far from done in the inning too.

A single to center field by Matt Kolflat brought Bell home, making the score 4-0.

The final scores of the game came when Kolflat and Chase Bessard scored on a double by Cummings, giving the Pride a 6-0 lead. That score held through the rest of the game.

Leesville Road is now 1-1 on the season and will return to play on Mar. 8 with a home non-conference game against Holly Springs.

D.H. Conley's overall record drops to 1-1 and will travel to Wakefield on Mar. 6 for its next game.
