Raleigh Leesville Road used a big fourth quarter to overcome a strong effort from Goldsboro to defeat the Cougars, 61-46, in the third-place game of the four-team tournament of the Holiday Invitational on Thursday.

The Pride (7-4) had 10 players score in the game, led by 16 points from Brandon Staves and 10 from Shyheid Petteway. Leesville outscored Goldsboro (5-6) 19-11 in the final period to put the Cougars away.

"We came out a little sluggish, but we finished strong," said Pride coach Russ Frazier. "We have to keep getting better."
