Jordan High School football player John Brown has made his verbal commitment.

According to Jordan football coach LaDwaun Harrison, Brown verbally committed to the United States Naval Academy.

At 5-foot-10 and 190-pounds, Brown is capable of playing multiple positions, including running back and corner back for the Falcons.

Brown has played varsity football for three years, earning all-conference honors last season in the PAC 6 4-A Conference. He also plays basketball.

Last season, Brown rushed for 860 yards and eight touchdowns. He also had 430 return yards, returning one kick for a score.
