The No. 1 team in the PAC 6 had to come from behind on Friday night to defeat Southern Durham.
After trailing in the fourth quarter, Jordan managed to defeat Southern Durham, 57-52, keeping the Falcons perfect in the league.
Jordan started the game out right, outscoring Southern 19-12 in the first quarter. But the Falcons lost their groove on offense.
After scoring 19 points in the first quarter, Jordan only scored 18 points in the next two quarters. Still, the Falcons led Southern 28-26 at halftime.
The Spartans took advantage in the third quarter, outscoring Jordan 13-9 to take a two-point lead into the final period.
But the fourth quarter belonged to Jordan. The Falcons scored 20 points in the final period to hold off Southern and win their 13th straight game.
Jordan will have one of the toughest weeks of the season next week. The Falcons will play Hillside on Tuesday, followed by Person on Friday. Both teams are tied for second place in the conference, but Jordan is two games ahead of both.
Southern Durham, which is battling for the final playoff berth from the conference, will host Northern Durham on Saturday before going to Riverside on Tuesday.
