Jordan boys remain in control of PAC 6

Most people didn't predict Jordan High School's boys basketball team to win the PAC 6, but the Falcons are in a position to do so.
Jordan defeated Riverside 60-48 on Tuesday night, moving to the Falcons to 13-4 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the conference.
They weren't in control from the start though. Riverside led Jordan by one point after the first quarter, but a 13-7 run in the second quarter gave the Falcons a five-point advantage at the half.
Jordan finally separated itself from the Pirates in the fourth quarter with 24 points.
K.J. Alston led the Falcons in scoring with 24 points. Darien Ortiz and Jared Hendryx both scored 11.
Justice Kithcart led Riverside with 23 points.
Jordan didn't look a like a conference favorite in November and the early part of December. After beating Panther Creek in the season opener by 12 points, Jordan dropped three straight game – two to Enloe, and one to Wake Forest-Rolesville.
The Falcons started the season 1-3, went on a two-game winning streak against Wake Forest-Rolesville and Orange, but then lost to Wakefield by 10.
The Dec. 11, loss to the Wolverines was the last time Jordan lost though. Since, Jordan has put together a string of 10 wins, including winning the Lee County Christmas Tournament, and double-digit wins over Hillside and Person.
Jordan's next game is Friday night against East Chapel Hill. The Falcons defeated East 62-44 earlier this season.
