— The Triangle is loaded with high school football talent, and the Class of 2018 is further proof that the area is a hotbed for Division I prospects.

Three of the top five ranked players will keep their talents in the Triangle to attend either North Carolina or NC State. The only uncommitted of the top five, Sanderson's Alim McNeill, told HighSchoolOT that he is leaning toward NC State as well.

Hillside's Jamal Elliott is the only player among the top five not to stay in the state, choosing to further his football career at Oregon.

Elliott is one of three players in the HighSchoolOT Top 15 to commit out of state. Four players - Devon Lawrence (Wake Forest), Andrew Tuazama (Knightdale), Joseph Boletepeli (Heritage) and McNeill - are uncommitted.
