FINAL, Word of God 58, New Hampton 53 : The Word of God Holy Rams jumped out to a big lead early in the Shavlik Randolph title game. In the midst of a New Hampton 4th-quarter comeback, the school kept their composure to secure it's second ever Holiday Invitational title. The win came during the school's fourth championship appearance in five years.

The Word of God offense stalled to begin the 4th quarter, and the team allowed New Hampton to go on a 6-0 run to bring the game within 2 points. The Rams answered back with a run of their own, going on an 8-0 scoring spree to seal the game away. Camden Scott hit a big three-pointer, Josh Newkirk drove to the basket to score, and Rodney Moore delivered a dagger of a lay-up to end the Huskies' hopes of a comeback. The team then padded their lead at the foul line as the clock expired.

As he did for a good part of the tournament, Tyrek Coger led the way for the Rams with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Josh Newkirk showed

FINAL, DeSoto 45, St. Josephs 42 : The DeSoto High School Eagles held on in the final minutes to defeat St. Josephs High School and win the Summit Hospitality Championship on Saturday evening.

St. Josephs scored well in the second half but could not come up with enough stops on defense to battle back into a winning position. The team had multiple chances to hit a game-tying shot in the final seconds, but multiple misfires doomed the Falcons as the buzzer sounded. 7-footer Karl Towns Jr. finished the game with 13 points and 8 rebounds. He shot 3-6 from 3-point range. Also taking on scoring responsibilities for the Falcons were James Ziemba and Marques Townes, each with 10 points in the losing effort.

For the champion DeSoto Eagles, it was Matthew Jones making clutch free throws at the end of the game, just as he has been asked to do all through the tournament. He finished with 9 points, and Terry Masten finished with 14.
