Tight end Josh McNeil, who played his high school football at Durham's Hillside High School was named Monday to the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game. He will be presented with his honorary game jersey Tuesday in a ceremony at Hillside along with his coach, Antonio King.
McNeil played just one season of football at Hillside before his graduation last summer. He is currently enrolled at Milford Academy, a New York state preparatory school. He has committed to play football at Alabama.
"He's still a raw talent because he doesn't have that much experience, but he brings a lot of passion and aggression to the field. He has a tremendous upside," King said of McNeil.
The All-America game Jan. 4 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., will be broadcast on ESPN.
