Heritage High School's Garrett Hudson will play college football at North Carolina next fall.
Hudson, a defensive end and wide receiver for the Huskies, accepted a preferred walk-on position with the Tar Heels, according to Heritage coach Jason McGeorge.
At 6-foot-4 and 220-pounds, Hudson played on both sides of the ball last season, helping the Huskies to a 6-6 overall record and to the first playoff trip in school history.
According to his Hudl profile, Hudson runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds and benches 275-pounds.
