It took two overtimes, but Green Hope is still on top of the Tri-9 girls basketball standings.

Green Hope took down Holly Springs, outscoring the Golden Hawks 6-2 in the final overtime period, to win 53-49.

Both teams were tied at 21-21 at halftime, and Holly Springs took a two-point lead into the fourth quarter. But Green Hope was up to the task, outscoring the Hawks 13-11 to force overtime.

In the first overtime period both teams scored just two points, but a 6-2 performance in the second overtime secured the win for the Falcons.
