State championships set for Saturday

The game times for the N.C. High School Athletic Association basketball state championship games have been set. NCHSAA Generic Logo High school basketball scoreboard

Games in the 2-A and 4-A classifications will be played at the Dean E. Smith Center on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Meanwhile, games in the 1-A and 3-A classifications will be played at Reynolds Coliseum on the campus of NC State University in Raleigh.

All games will be played on Saturday, Mar. 16.

For the purpose of uniform color and the scoreboard, the Eastern Regional Champion will be designated as the home team this year. That means teams from the East will wear white uniforms, while teams from the West will wear dark uniforms.

Here is the schedule for the Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill:

12:00 PM -- 2-A Girls: Kinston vs. Pisgah

2:30 PM -- 2-A Boys: Kinston vs. Cuthbertson

5:00 PM -- 4-A Girls: Millbrook vs. Page

Here is the schedule for Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh:

12:00 PM -- 1-A Girls: River Mill Academy vs. Bishop McGuinness

2:30 PM -- 1-A Boys: Rocky Mount Prep vs. Winston-Salem Prep

5:00 PM -- 3-A Girls: Chapel Hill vs. Harding

7:30 PM -- 3-A Boys: J.F. Webb vs. Statesville
