The Broughton Capitals (4-2, 1-0) earned their first Cap 8 conference win 52-26 at Millbrook (5-1, 0-1).
This had the makings of the game of the night but it became lop sided early.
By the third quarter Broughton was a head 31-14.
The Caps got more when Will Cooper found Thomas Brown in the endzone for a 6 yard touchdown pass to go up 38-14.
Later in the third quarter Millbrook was on their own 20. Trey McFarland kept it leftside and found room to break away to the right. McFarland mounted an 80 yard touchdown run to give Millbrook 6. The Wildcats trailed 38-20.
In the fourth quarter Broughton's Chris Mangus takes a pitch 40 yards for another Capital touchdown. The Caps led 45-20.
Millbrook didn't go down without a fight, McFarland found Corey Cooper on a deep 80 yard pass and run. But Broughton finishes it off 52-26 with a Cooper to Parrish Crowder touchdown.
The Caps host Leesville Road next week and Millbrook will be at Wakefield.
