Orange coasted to a 48-7 win over Northern Vance Friday night in the conference opener for each team.

It was 21-7 Orange and they weren't done. The Panthers' Jalen Pittman broke off a nifty run, breaking multiple tackles that set up a short score to make it 28-7.

A few minutes later Jon Evans got a homecoming score on a 73-yard punt return for a touchdown with the help of some excellent blocks.

Orange was in control at that point and went on to beat Northern Vance 48-7.

Northern Vance (1-5, 0-1 Carolina 6) hosts North Pitt next week. Orange (5-1, 1-0 Carolina 6) travels to East Chapel Hill.
