Millbrook put a scare into Wakefield early, but the Wolverines erupted in the second half of a 54-21 win Friday night.
Millbrook struck first as Lamar Harris went over the middle and hauled in an Andrew Ezeburio and went 65 yards for a score.
Wakefield drew even as Connor Mitch began to go to work following a Wolverines takeaway. Mitch connected with Ridges Quinton from 31 yards to even things at 7.
The game went 21-21 into the half but the second half was all Wakefield. The Wolverines tallied five times in the final two frames to rout Millbrook 54-21 and stay perfect on the season.
Millbrook (1-5, 0-2 Cap 8) hosts Sanderson next week. Wakefield (6-0, 2-0 Cap 8) travels to Leesville Road.
