James Summers threw for two touchdowns and ran for 116 yards to lead Greensboro Page to a 35-21 victory over Garner for their fifth Class 4-AA North Carolina High School Athletic Association championship.

Summers was named the game's most valuable player. He had 131 yards passing Saturday, with touchdown catches of 6 yards by Brian Spain and 13 yards by Orlando Hatfield as the Pirates (16-0) capped an undefeated season. 

Shaun Workinger added touchdown runs of 6 and 2 yards for Page, and Drew Rogers capped the Pirates' scoring with his 18-yard TD run. 

The Trojans (15-1) fought back from a 21-0 deficit to pull within a touchdown in the third quarter. Juwan Moye ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Anthony Tucker caught a 31-yard flanker option pass.

No excuses. Page was the better team on Saturday. Penalty yards were equal. With that said, I am a Trojan!

As a fan of the game it was the worst! Bad calls and no respect for Garner from the officials! Just drove me nuts hearing Garner called the white team over and over again while Page was called the Page PIRATES over and over. People from A.L.BROWN behind us said it was the worst title game they had ever seen because of the calls against Garner that was uncalled for. He said at halftime Garner could not win this game being treated like this no matter what they did! Page was allowed to play while Garner was tied down bt the officials! The game film tells it all!

The best news for Raleigh/Garner is that the Page QB, Summers is coming to NCSU to play for your wolf pack. Great job Page Pirates. 5 time Champs

I was really hoping Garner would win, especially after they beat my Leesville Pride. Garner is a great team, and they will be great again next season. Congrats on a terrific season.
