No. 4 seed Goldsboro could not match undefeated top seed Wallace-Rose Hill Friday in the Class 1AA Mideast bracket in the NCHSAA football playoffs.
Wallace-Rose Hill (12-0) goes on to face the winner of James Kenan and Red Springs.
Goldsboro led 7-6 in the second quarter, but Wallace Rose Hill was on the attack.
Treymon Evans surged up the middle from the six, breaking tackles for the score and the 12-7 Bulldogs lead.
Later in the second, Goldsboro was driving at the Wallace 25 when Julius Murphy saw his pass picked off by Tracy Morell.
Wallace marched down the field, and Caps Evans scored to put Wallace up 20-7.
In the third quarter, Wallace led 26-7 when D. J. Bannerman took the handoff to the left side for another touchdown. The final was 45-13.
