Douglas Byrd stays undefeated, 44-0 over Westover

Douglas Byrd looked to keep their undefeated season alive Friday as they hosted the Westover Wolverines in a Cape Fear Conference game.

In the first quarter Byrd is up 7-0 and looking for more from the Wolverine five Brion Davis on the keeper goes five yards in for the touchdown. Davis puts the Eagles up 14-0.

More in the first quarter, Davis went right side and dove in for the touchdown. They make the two and Byrd has the 22-0 lead.

In the second quarter Byrd has it at the Westover 11 and they gave it to Gary Lewis, the path is cleared, Lewis went in for the touchdown and Douglas Byrd took a 29-0 lead.

The Eagles stay undefeated beating Westover Friday by the 44-0 score.  

The Eagles (7-0, 3-0 Cape Fear) will be home again next week to take on Western Harnett. Westover (1-6, 0-2 Cape Fear) will return home to take on Union Pines Friday.
