Knights rout Smithfield-Selma, 56-13

The Knightdale Knights crushed visiting Smithfield-Selma Friday night, 56-13, and stay undefeated in the Greater Neuse Conference.

They had racked up 35 points and allowed only six in the second quarter when Travon Lynch scored from the SSS six to push it to 42-6 Knightdale.

Jalen Lewis scored on a 41-yard touchdown run in the third, and Bryan Sumner scored from seven yards out. 

The Knights (4-2, 3-0 Greater Neuse) are at West Johnston next Friday.

SSS (0-6, 0-2 Greater Neuse) will look for their first win of the season when they play host to the Garner Trojans.
