Cary HC Candidates
With all the recent posting on Clayton and Sanderson coaching changes. Has anyone heard anything about Cary candidates? They seem to be flying under the radar.

How attractice CGreen? First question is why did Kolstad leave for Sanderson? (Rumors go both ways on that) Is it a job other head coaches are interested in? Former WCPSS coaches? Up and comers? Do they have someone on staff?

Based on rumors I've heard about why Kolstad left, some coaches will steer clear. I don't know the details, but coaches want to know their decisions will be supported by higher ups. However, it is Wake County--sometimes that just isn't going to happen no matter which school you're coaching at.

I don't think it is that much of an attractive job. There is something really wrong when a successful coach leaves one school for another especially when the school he is going to has not had much success recently. Cary has good athletes, but if administration is not supportive and booster club not very organized and functional they there are some other real issues.

jetsweep, I don't think it's the most attractive job in the area (that's why I said fairly). However, there is a track record of good athletes coming through there and I would suspect good financial support in the Cary area. I don't know teh administration so I can't answer on that end (although I've heard the same rumors as everyone else). I think it could attract head coaches to it and I would suppose there might be some former WCPSS coaches interested--there are a few working as assistants around WCPSS now. I don't know if any of them want to be head coaches again.

I heard Cleveland's defensive coordinator. I also heard that Panther Creek's offensive coordinator already had an interview lined up. But that is just the word on the street

Who wants to coach at Cary? cgreen hit it on the head, The coaches who know the deal at Cary will steer clear, coaches do communicate and ask the question how is it for you at your school? Some coaches keep quite but most will tell you.
@cgreen I will add this too, there are too many people from the outside influencing what is happening inside Cary.
