Where are you Garner come out of Wake County for a change. Let someone else play Broughton, Sanderson, and Enloe.

why whats it going to do for them,how will that help them, might have a big gate, lose a top 3 seed, see why would you want to lose 2 to 3 home playoff games to play a big name team at the first of the season, that could hurt you more then help you.
whats a win do for you dont get you one in the playoffs. A loss and you could lose alot. The bottom line is playoffs.If playing a tough schedule means you will win in the playoffs then why hasnt Southern Durham won a title cause they play one if not the toughest year in year out( no means am i smacking on Southern.) if you have a team that has a shot, you will find out come playoff time.Garner gets more out of playing Middle Creek then they would playing Richmond. (Thats not bashing Richmond). Just Garner playing Middle Creek is and will be bigger then playing Richmond in more ways then just a win or a loss.

Agreed. This is not college. We don't have a BCS with strength of schedule. You're postseason is based on your regular season record. Only saving grace is the endownment game rule.

Butler, JB, and SC in one season!?!? Strength of schedule does help but you can't get insane with the schedule.

Thank you dfmlythr! What are you gaining by playing weak teams? Maybe thats why Garner hasnt won the State since 87! Your conference is already weak, and then you play a weak non conference schedule. Playing tough teams lets you know how good you really think you are.

What is Garner gaining by playing Broughton, Enloe, and Sanderson? The stands will be packed for a Garner/Richmond matchup. Ok play Middlecreek, and drop Enloe?

Heres why home-field in the playoffs are important to Garner.

1.They have not won an away playoff game since 1997 (That year they beat Millbrook)
2.Since 1998 they have played in 4 eastern finals at home.
3.They are 26-7 at home and 1-7 on the road and 0-2 in State Championship Games (since 1997).
