great jobs to the teams left in the playoff but i really think scotland and new bern was in 4AA they will be still playing next friday

That is possible, but remember Garner & Jack Britt have storied traditions. I think it would make for some epic games.

Scotland looked like the most dominate team in the entire state last year, regardless of what level they would have played at. However, this year I am not sure I could say the same. In the East Scotland and New Bern could have very well possibly have made it to the East Championship, although Garner, I believe is overall better and more balanced than what they were last year so they definitely belong among the elite. What I don't know is if Scotland or New Bern could handle the Western part of the state this year like Scotland would have last year. Therefore, it is probably in both teams best interest this year to be in the 4A bracket. Much better chance of bringing home a ring instead of just possibly, and I say possible, an East championship b/c Garner and Britt are no pushovers by any stretch of the imagination.

scotland beat britt with ease and garner doesnt play any top notch competiiton out of the raleigh area....thats garners problen every year. they beat up these weak raleigh schools and them bam..... leesville had a great season but didnt play any quality non raleigh schools...im sure new bern and scotland could both compete in 4AA. idk if butler or any other west schools would win or lose....i wish there could be a final after the state championship between big and small 4A all the down to 1A. then crown an overall champion. i mean that would be the best way to decide because the pods... i can say this that i think north carolina plays some of the best high school football in the nation....Go Bears

Scotland won the first game decisive, but it would not be that easy the second time around. We could compare stats all day, but with high school kids emotions are everything. Which team hung 56 on Richmond? Britt...Which team didn't let Richmond hang 50 on them? Scotland

plus we competed inthe 4AA up til 2009.... from 2002-2009 we went to 4 state championships and went 1-3 against the university of independence....so we have been there but cant help the enrollment numbers

Garner hasn't had a close game this season & GT has been rolling along in the playoffs. NB has a very good program but you have just as many state titles as the Trojans......1

^Exactly, lbeck. Some of these guys need to focus on the teams they're actually playing. The rest is nothing more than an opinion. Besides, games aren't decided on HSOT. lol
