Orange and panthers doesn't flow well together but not sure what team name would be better. I like how Fuquay goes by the Orange Crush. Any time a game involves teenagers you never know what may happen. It boils down to match ups. Good luck orange!

Orange surprised me this year. They have done really good things and I can't take anything away from them. Their hard work paid off.

Orange will have to play lights out to win this game tonight. They will have to find the defensive rythem they had earlier this year when they were only allowing 9.0 ppg and the offense will have to click. The QB Motley has been stepping up big as of late and will have to continue to do so tonight. But the big key is that pettiford will have to be the work horse he was early in the season and they will have to get a few big runs by the pittman brothers as well.

Great year by the Panthers....tried to tell ya - but Havelock is playing on a different level than any other 3A team in the state (and probably as good or better than most 4A teams). It hasn't always been like that. Havelock does have a winning tradition - but actually, w/the exception of 1971 when they ran the table undefeated, a so-so playoff record until the past 4 years.

Coach Bryant came in and took a program that had fallen on hard times and turned it around into something truly special. He was "Coach of the Year" last year for the whole state and that speaks to how well he knows how to develop a very strong football team.

Havelock will probably remain a very strong program as long as Bryant hangs around. But I suspect he will bombarded by very enticing offers. Let's see what happens.
