Havelock had 2 more players that signed with D1 teams today. One with ECU and the other to South Carolina. They have 2 kids going to South Carolina and several more that will get offers from SEC teams in the next year.

Havelock just has too many weapons. Their D is underrated.

Beecher from Concord might give them fits. He is a big (6'6) with a cannon. That game would likely be a shoot out if it were to happen. The only team that could hang with them scoring.

    jmbsr.

I am crowning them, you are right. I know about the other teams left, can't beat Havelock. They are the champs until someone knocks them off.

Well obviously I am right considering no one else has beaten them in the last 2 years, other than New Bern?

    scousler...

Agree 100%. Obviously Crow and Cooper are different, Cooper has the speed, Crow had the arm. Both know how to get it done. Cooper is going to South Carolina for a reason.

Scousler you said things well. I can understand why those who have seen Havelock and their body of work last season and this season. However some of these guys on this post are crowning them and haven't seen the other potential opponents.

I saw both last year's undefeated Rams and this year's team play. I thought the 2011 Rams were one of the best 3A teams I've ever seen. The 2012 team is just as good but different. The current Rams are bigger overall than last year's team - but still fast. The QB is a better runner but not quite the decision maker that last year's QB was. But he has better running backs - two of the best in the state. This year's defense is even better than last year's. The kicking game is probably the only week spot on this year's team - but's it's not terrible, just not as sharp as last year's team, though it did cost them early in the close loss to NB with several missed PATs. It will take a whale of a game from an opponent to beat them, but anything is possible. They easily remain the odds on favorite to retain the 3A title.

Maybe or maybe not whose to say.

Again, unbeatable in 3A, NB is 4A. New Bern is the only team to knock them off in 2 seasons. They will win the 3A title, mark it down.

If they are unbeatable then they would be undefeated. Point blank open and shut.

Its hard for me to say a team is unbeatable especially when I haven't physically saw the other teams they could play. Especially If the team you support hasn't beaten or played a lot of good teams

I was there, I know. I said they are unbeatable in 3A. NB is 4A

Havelock is a great team but the lose a game this year so they are not unbeatable. They lost to New Bern 34-33.

Is the high school predominately military families or does the base have it's own high school?

Havelock is unbeatable in 3A. Don't give anyone else a chance. Way too many weapons on both sides of the ball.

The only team that can beat Havelock is Concord. Concord is very dangerous..other than that..cake walk

Havelock is the best team. Too bad there are Scotland County fans talking trash how the best team NB beat was 3A. Anyone on here think Havelock is a joke? They have a QB going to South Carolina. They have RB's that are being looked at by Bama, LSU, Florida. Would love to hear some input from you guys whether or not Havelock is the real deal or not.

    Havelock.

They are loaded again, the only teams I could see even giving them a game is Concord simply because the Spiders have a very good quarterback who can sling it and Eastern Alamance only because the Eagles are the last 3A team to beat the Rams in a while.

If only Havelock and Northern Guilford could face off, what a show that would be...

Haven't seen Havelock but I can promise you one thing. There aren't any 40 pts wins up here. Hopefully both groups take care of business so y'all boys can see its other people outside of Craven Co that can play football too

haha Havelock won't play their first teamers past the 3rd quarter for the rest of playoffs. Another new bern fan here and I would love to see two champs in craven county

Havelock....they are fundamentally sound. They dont make many mistakes and they tackle real well. They have stud atheletes in just about every skill position. I wanna say maybe 5 d-1 players....they have a hybrid qb. He has always caught the ball then made his move. This year he has it in his hands everytime....this is still high school football and they have to perforn every friday nite. Im a new bern fan pulling for the craven county team. Good luck to everybody friday nite

You still have Havelock, Washington, Eastern Alamance, Orange, Concord, East Rowan, Freedom, and Burns. Thoughts?
