Leesville vs. Garner
Is this going to become an every year thing? Top two teams in the triangle in the Third round. Only two unbeatens in the East. What is everyone's thoughts on this one?

hard hitting and big plays. two evenly matched team with playmakers everywhere. comes down to who makes the least mistakes. Im taking garner 35-28 homefield advantage being the difference.

Games are getting tighter except for Garner...who now understand what the Leesville WF game was like but last year except WF scored more against Leesville...the good thing is that the storm was weathered (67-58)...and big plays were the order of the day, don't like to compare teams opponents - so this game starts 0-0 and there you go...this years games were similar...except LvL held WF down a little better...who knows what next week brings...

The qb from wakefield was as good as advertised. Some of the throws he made were jaw dropping. Garner adjusted at halftime and held Wakefield to only 6 points. This week we have to deal with mr. playstation moves himself and a host of his sidekicks. Big challenge ahead for both defenses. Should be a classic.

This is a tough one ,I enjoy both teams so much,great players and coaches .i will have to side with the pride but it won't be easy from preparing this week and then playing Friday .the best to both teams .

Leesville has a very good football team but Garner may be the best team in the state. Looked at some common opponents & it goes like this....
LR beat Enloe by 30...GT beat 'em by 39
LR beat the Caps by 19...GT beat 'em by 24
LR beat WF by 28...GT beat 'em by 42
LR beat MC by 7...GT beat 'em by 17
LR averages 40.3 on offense & gives up 15.8 on D
GT averages 47 on offense & gives up 13 on D
If the Trojans play up to their abilities, PROTECT the ball & reduce the penalties, they should get the W. GT can run or pass & move the ball at will. Their D got tested against WF & MC (2 outstanding QBs) but GT won in convincing fashion. Garner needs to take it one game at a time - TCB

Two great teams that IMO will match up well with the Mid East and have a great opportunity to represent the East in the State Title game. No need to compare scores with common opponents b/c both teams will have to battle it out on the field next week. This game will be an absolute great contest between the two best teams in the Triangle. No way to predict a winner for this one. Whichever team wins I just hope one of the brings the State title back to Wake Co. 1987 is a long time ago and a Championship will bring more attention to Wake Co. football and possibly make Wake Co. a recruiting hot bed like Charlotte/Mecklenburg area. ^Just a little info. on each team, BK. Agree....would like to see WC football get more recognition but they're gonna have to take down the West to do that. I think this may be the year...good luck to both teams.

I don't mean any disrespect to either team both are good teams. Time of possession will be a telling stat and Garner will win this one on the line. Our offense was able to score on both teams but the game in the trenches was a completely different game against these two teams. Garners defensive front 7 is much more physical than LR's. I think Garner will sustain pounding drives and Leesville's best players will wear down playing D. Then again I thought they would wear down against us!

Conditioning is one of Leesville's strong suits...as the numbers increase on the sidelines they've found more athlete's to platoon...not there yet with the bigger squads, but the players play...Garner is going to come out flying at home and are a very aggressive too...if Leesville can use that over pursuit and agressiveness to their favor they'll be in it for the duration...Garner like to come out and punch you in the mouth to make the claim that they are in charge...have to withstand that early and play Leesville football, which will be a bit less one dimensional offensively this time around...

If only Leesville had Austin Berrios last year... Would've been awesome to see! Can't wait to see how this one ends up.
