    @komo,

    BUMP the PAC6. All we need is DURHAM COUNTY. You know just our whole county sorta like how your team come from the whole county.

    @bullcity- Get a All-Star team from the Pac6 and come to Pate Stadium. It may be a close game.

    @thatcharger,

    It wasn't luck dude. it was skill. no hail mary. it was a pass play. YOU SC boys been hatin since 2011. If the conf had anything to do with validating a team, then tell me how Hillside won it all in 2010.

    I can see if our conference (sec) played equal talent opponents. They played high seeded teems. Richmond and Lumberton were matched though. Pinecrest, Hoke were well overpowered. Our last place team had Hillside beat until a lucky play at the end. I dont think thats really all that weak considering how Hillside were favored to make a deep run.

    Football86 I agree with you. It seems now every parent who child plays football in Durham wants their child to be a hornet or Spartan. This has caused a downward spiral for other programs. This is the reason the Pac 6 championship has been Hillside and southern. Now with Southern leaving Hillside will dominate the conference like N Durham did during the 80s and 90s

    I have been watching these post all year long and attending games and i would like to say yes the pac-6 is under the weather right now but it all comes from all the kids in the city wanting to go to two schools(southern and hillside). Back from 2001 to 2007 durham as a whole was more competitive in the playoffs. Thats only because you had talented kids spread out over the city. You have kids that are at southern and Hillside that have great talent thats on the bench that could help out some of the other schools but they are being fed this dream and never get to show it until maybe there senior year. The only way we gone save the pac-6 is for these parents to wake up and stop being fed the bull!!!! I hope the pac-6 get back on track.

    Not blaming our loss on the conference at all check out the Southern Hoggard thread. I am just looking forward to playing in a much better overall conference period. Besides Hillside and Southern who else has been winning consistantly? The culture overall has been as bad as I have seen it. Besides for as long as I can remember for the most part Southern has been a big 3A school we went to the PAC-6 back in 04. Before that we were in the 5 County 3A which we dominated and HHS was a member as well. Playing against teams like Orange, Chapel Hill, Gibbons is going to be a test but I am looking forward to the challenge. Hopefully the PAC-6 will make some great strides next year will continue to root for them except when they play us.

    I am not going to say the PAC-6 has been weak for years when we used to call ke county --Weak County. Man you guys are some fair weather fans. Talent comes and goes in cycles. The cycle will come back around soon! DBcity you can't blame Southern's playoff performance on the PAC-6.You sound like you have been around for awhile so you should know Southern always look good during the regular season and then look horrible in the playoffs.

    bullcityvillage - look at the SEC last year...everybody but SC out in the 1st round and SC claimed the title - therefore SEC claims they were the best, they weren't - SC was...

    Lets be clear. The Pac6 has been weak for years. But that doesn't mean the champ is weak every single year.

    I am going to tell you like I see Hillside got beat by a better prepared team.
    Their coaches had them ready. You notice I used the word "coaches" and preparation".They came to play that the bottom line.I don't care how much talent you have or how athletics you are, or how many Division 1 players you might have on the team. If you not prepared to play you going to get beat.
    Bottom Line.

    Going into that conference will do nothing but make us better bullcityfootball. The better the competition the better your team bottom line. Look at how the PAC-6 did tonight. 0-4? WOW.

    I said the conference was weak back in August and everybody thought i was crazy. I am not sure if Southern leaving the conference is good for them. It will not be a cake walk in that 3A conference. Orange is strong,Cardinal Gibbons,Chapel Hill and Carrboro (I think they are moving up)would win the PAC-6

    This conference has been terrible overall for a while now. This year was as bad as I have ever seen it. So glad Southern Durham is getting the heck out of there it's time for a change big time.

    0-4 Season over for the Pac6. When is the last time the Pac6 was eliminated in the first round? Their overall out of conference record was abysmal at best.
