Hillside VS Southeast Guilford
Who wins this game and why? I personally will take Hillside mainly because they're at home and Chris Francis is a beast. Also, I'm HHS Alumni so... But I would like to know everyone's thoughts on this game and what makes them believe which team will come out with the W. Predict the score.

Hillside is a second half team. They seem to start out slow so any team wanting to knock them off should start fast. Southeast can score points but they have scored most of there points against three team that have a combined 9 wins together. I figure the game will be close early due to Hillsides inability to start out fast but they will work them over in the second half. Francis will have a field day. Hillside 41-10. And if Hillside starts out fast, Lord Help Southeast Guilford.

I have Hillside winning this one. It just determines if Hillside will come out playing smash mouth football or let S.E. Guilford hang around. Bottom line I predict the score will be 24-7

The Hillside coaching staff is aware of the slow starts. I think they will be focused on coming out of the gate fast. On the flip side, I give them alot of credit for making very good halftime adjustments which would explain HHS success in the second half.
People kind of assume that the slow start is an indication that a team is not playing up to its potential. That is not always the case and I don't necessarily believe that to be the case at HHS either.

Well I'm at every game and it is a slow start. More of a slow start that halftime adjustments. We turn the ball over early. Just about every game we've done this. Ball security and execution is something we have been working on and I hope that we have it fixed because we can't afford slow starts and lack of focus in the playoffs.

I agree with byron. Turnovers and penalties are what kills us! Thats what differentiates good teams from great teams

I here what blank and byron are saying but at the same time HHS still dropped 50 points in some of those games. There was a streak of like 3 in a row. The 3rd quarter against ECH was crazy, just proof that we can put up points in a hurry.
But I guess the point is, we can't do these things against good or great teams. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

The teams we beat in the Pac 6 are cupcakes. Southern and Northern were the only competition and neither of them have been able to beat Hillside in years. Hillside hasn't lost a game in the Pac 6 in three years. And I may be leaving out a fourth year. So dropping 50 points on a soft league isn't impressive. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the undeafeted seasons each year in the Pac 6 but I'm not fool enough to believe that we haven't played any tough competition. We had three real test this year and we were blown out by two of them. And only won the E.E. Smith game because they made mental mistakes the whole game.

I have never seen a winning team with such a disgruntled fanbase. Especially one that has won a recent chip and is consistently churning out D1 recruits. JUMPIN JAHOSIFATS!!!!!!!!!
If it makes you guys feel any better. We are in a reloading year and have only 6 seniors.
